Senior Farmers Market
Nutrition Program

Farmers Market Checks will be available starting June 1, 2025

Income-eligible Seniors who apply for the SFMNP program receive five $5 SFMNP checks ($25) that they can use to buy fresh local produce from participating farms between June 1st-November 30th, 2025.

To be eligible for SFMNP Seniors must be 60 years of age or older and have a household income below the following:​

You must apply for SFMNP checks in your county of residence by mailing or dropping off your application at your county's Aging on Aging office between June 1st-September 30th. Once your application is processed, they will mail you your checks. Some counties also offer in person check distributions.

All persons wishing to receive SFMNP checks must provide proof of age and residence.

A proxy may obtain SFMNP checks on behalf of a senior. Proxies must sign a proxy form provide identification with date of birth and address of the senior. An individual may serve as a proxy for up to 4 individuals. Proxies may also use the vouchers on a seniors' behalf. â€‹â€‹

Once your application is approved, your FMNP vouchers will be sent to you by mail. Applicants may apply by mail, email, or in-person.

In Person: 

Northampton County offers in person check distribution at the Agency on Aging office and at select senior centers. Fill out your application and receive checks on the spot!
